Public Affairs

The University of Notre Dame is engaged, invested, and committed to K-12 education, community development, civic leadership, and government relations. Through its Office of Public Affairs, the University collaborates with the community to create a prosperous and healthy environment in which to live, work and raise a family.

Public Affairs operates a number of programs, and partners with various Notre Dame and community entities on other endeavors. In addition, Public Affairs partners with an outside consultant to quantify the economic impact Notre Dame has on the community. Read the latest report.

University Communications

The University's central media relations, storytelling and marketing functions, as well as Notre Dame Magazine, are housed within University Communications. The units within UC include specialists in the areas of writing, web design and development, graphic design, social media and a host of other disciplines. These professionals are charged with maintaining the University's reputation by communicating the work of its researchers, faculty and students, as well as upholding the integrity of the visual representations of the Notre Dame brand across print and digital media. 

Federal and Washington Relations

The Office of Federal and Washington Relations represents the University of Notre Dame in the Nation’s Capital, enhancing the national and international visibility of our community’s vision, mission and priorities.The office is the principal liaison between the University and Washington communities, helping to ensure Notre Dame’s thought leaders and research effectively inform national policy-making and debate. The office also provides campus leadership with advice and counsel related to potential federal policy and regulations that may impact the University.
