Office of Community Relations

The Office of Community Relations supports the local community’s efforts to create a prosperous, healthy environment in which to raise families.

Located at 217 S. Michigan St., the office establishes a permanent, interactive Notre Dame presence within the community. The downtown location provides a setting where members of our community partnerships can meet and where the University’s educational mission can be realized through classes, exhibits, and programs. Community Relations also shares the space with the downtown South Bend business association and the Notre Dame School of Architecture, whose fifth-year students undertake urban design projects in the community.

The work of the director of Community Relations embodies Notre Dame’s goal to be responsive to its immediate neighbors, and to provide access to the community the resources that can help it establish a safe, vital, prosperous future.
